    All Music Guide Review

A reissue compilation tailor-made for James Last's introduction to the United States music market, this 12-song exercise is a Mitch Miller, Up with People-esque chorus singalong of a wide array of '70s songs that somehow complement each other quite well when stripped of their original pretense and turned into folksy singalongs, falling in line with what Survivor would later astutely predict in 1984 that it is, in fact, the singer not the song that makes an album so enjoyable. Covers of Otis Redding, Beatles Lennon and Harrison, Neil Diamond, and Otis Redding somehow all fit together in a very fashionable, feel-good vibe. As a nostalgia piece, it's not as captivating as Langley Schools, but just every bit as enjoyable. ~ Rob Theakston, All Music Guide
