    All Music Guide Review

What do you get when Butthole Surfers drummer King Coffey opens up his own record label, a subsidiary of Chicago's indie rock HQ Touch & Go? This ear-blistering sonic mindwarp of a compilation, which introduces the rest of the world to some of the most utterly insane bands you've never heard. Straight outta the brain-melting heat of Austin, TX, bands like Johnboy, Crust, Drain, Ed Hall, and the Cherubs are not exactly the sort of stuff you'll wanna play for your dear old granny, but their distinctive, balls-to-the-wall brands of noise rock are a welcome antidote to the safe blandness of "modern rock" radio. Earth-shattering chaotic dissonance, as disturbing as it is disturbed. ~ Bret Love, All Music Guide
