Submit Your ReviewMeyer's folk/rock debut sometimes has an almost-rockabilly exuberance, even when he's dealing with the "scared" side of his lyrical dichotomy. And then there are those songs, such as "All My Ex-Girlfriends (Are Married)," in which singer and listener are laughing and shivering at the same time. Still, Meyer remains able to assure us there's "No Reason to Cry" with a song that's one of those hit-single shoulda-beens. A fine, varied collection. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
