    All Music Guide Review

    The final album issued before Parliament temporarily disbanded. Clinton's empire was being besieged, and while he didn't completely lose his gifts, the impact could be heard on the album. The spontaneity, bizarre comic wit and wisdom, as well as the production and arranging greatness, weren't as evident. There were no epic jams, classic satirical numbers, or magnificent message tracks. Instead, it was more a worthy goodbye, one that fortunately hasn't been final. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
