    All Music Guide Review

    Very in-your-face rock & roll that could easily bring forth a mental accompaniment of fast cars and switchblade fights. Basically, the Bangs could provide the soundtrack for a remake of Rebel Without a Cause. Opening with a Black Sabbath-like guitar riff on the title track "Maggie the Cat," the rest of this EP features a punky slab of retro rock that looks up to the raw guitar sound of the Stooges and MC5. Accompanied by the confrontational tone of Bikini Kill, one would not be able to tell that one of the Bangs used to be in the uplifting indie pop quartet Tiger Trap. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
