The real extended mix party that was disco is essayed here on this import collection of original 12" cuts. Unfortunately, not all is extended ecstasy. Fans of A Taste of Honey's "Boogie Oogie Oogie," Carrie Lucas' "Dance With You," and Musique's "Keep On Jumpin" will sadly discover that these are, in fact, not the original 12" mixes. And adding to the party downer, "Let's Lovedance" by Gary's Gang is not the original mix of any kind but rather a '90s update. These qualms aside, Disco Breaks Mastercuts still delivers a solid dancefloor soundtrack with lengthy gems from Sylvester, Loose Joints, the Jacksons, and Black Ivory, among others.
