    This may be a highly collectible hot rod album, but it doesn't mean you have to put it in your priority list, unless you're a surf-hot rod completist. Gary Usher even admits in the liner notes that it was a rush job, and it shows in the resulting 10 songs, which sound like low-grade Beach Boys/Jan & Dean castoffs. The CD adds two bonus cuts from a rare 1964 single that Usher masterminded by the Wheel Men; these are actually the best tracks on that disc, though they're still nothing to salivate over. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
