All Music Guide Review

This EP was sent to radio in advance of the release of Jackopierce's major-label debut on A&M in 1994. The CD includes "Anderson's Luck" and "Forces," recorded live in studio at KBCO in Boulder, CO, on August 4, 1994, and "Late Shift," recorded live at KGSR in Austin, TX, on May 6, 1994. The disc ends with the LP version of "Anderson's Luck," which was produced by T-Bone Burnett. The liner notes include an invitation to call an 800 number for Jackopierce tour dates and which is now an unrelated a company in Jasper, TX. Jackopierce Live is a great CD for fans of the defunct band, especially because none of the live tracks here are on their Live From the Americas CD on Rhythmic Records. ~ JT Griffith, All Music Guide
