    All Music Guide Review

On Miss Moneypenny's: Going Global, longtime club resident Jim "Shaft" Ryan delivers what those familiar with the Birmingham-based enterprise and the affiliated series of mix CDs have come to expect: lots of diva vocals laid over disco-heavy house tracks. Even if there's not much that differentiates this particularly volume from the others in the Miss Moneypenny's series, that's not really something to complain about, particularly if you enjoy the other volumes. The club and its CDs definitely have a trademark reputation, and Ryan understands this well and doesn't depart from precedent. There are a few stunning tracks on this mix, most notably over ten minutes of David Morales' mix of Photek's "Mine to Give" and the "New Mix" of Ian Pooley's "900°." A few other big-name producers make appearances -- Pete Heller, DJ Sneak, Bini & Martini, Bob Sinclair, and a few others -- but, for the most part, there isn't too much to get excited about here. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
