Highlights include Louis Prima's "Shake Hands With Santa," Kay Starr's "(Everybody's Waitin' for) The Man With the Bag," Louis Armstrong & the Commanders' "Cool Yule," and Esquivel's "White Christmas." Though it's not quite as unique as the Ultra-Lounge holiday albums, and pop culture's interest in lounge and big band music has cooled off in the past few years, Swingin' Christmas is still a fun, nostalgic collection. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
