    A mix of some of the biggest hits in Britain in 2001, Music: Today's Definitive Hits, Vol. 2 is actually a pretty great collection of pop music. Tracks from Eddy Grant, Destiny's Child, Dido, OutKast, Lil' Bow Wow, and Missy Elliott were not only hits in America, but are good pop songs in general. I Monster, the Alice Band, Jason Downs, Ash, M.O.P., and Badly Drawn Boy contribute more good music that was successful overseas but never in the States. Everything else hovers around being average, with a few key exceptions. The track from O-Town is like a mixture of every bad part of teen culture around the turn of the century blended into one awful creature, while BBMak attempts to outdo even O-Town in the terrible lyrics contest with the vapid "Still on Your Side." And somehow, a fantastic live version of Elvis' "Suspicious Minds" rounds out this terribly uneven but very fun collection. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide
