    Dunhill's Rock of the 70's, Vol. 2 sports a pretty narrow song list, the range being mostly the kind of rock one was liable to hear on a middle of the road AOR radio station with a few surprises. The former category includes big hits like Foghat's "Slow Ride," Rick Derringer's "Rock & Roll, Hootchie Coo," the Allman Brothers' "Ramblin' Man" and Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way." The latter category boasts the disco funk of Earth, Wind & Fire's "September" and Blondie's icy new wave disco classic "Heart of Glass." The brief running time makes this disc less than essential and keeps it from being any kind of definitive statement of the era, more like a pleasantly rocking snapshot. ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
