    The Soul Love series of albums feature some of the classic soul era's best moments, emphasizing songs about love. There's a nice sense of diversity among the featured performers and songs. There's not an abundance of Motown songs like you might expect, and there are quite a few lively songs featured that might surprise you. For the most part, though, the featured songs are love ballads. Some of the noteworthy songs on this volume include Sam & Dave's "Soul Man," the Temptations' "My Girl," and Betty Everett's "Shoop Shoop Song."
