Mega Reggae is exactly that: a huge, four-album set of reggae music that covers almost 30 years of music. Where many compilations along these lines fail to cover all their bases, this is filled to the brim with the biggest stars in reggae. Although many of their best songs are overlooked, this still includes Burning Spear, Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, Lee Perry, the Skatelites, Inner Circle, Desmond Dekker, Toots & the Maytals, Yellowman, Beenie Man, Shaggy, and many other influential and important figures in reggae. The most important part of a compilation is making the songs work together, and these blend nicely, moving from dancehall to ska to dub with little problems.
