Much like the several albums in the series, Motown Chartbusters, Vol. 4 features a number of the chart-topping soul label's biggest hits. There's a fair amount of diversity in this collection when it comes to performers. No one performer steals the show, which makes for a much more eclectic mix of music. Some of the featured acts include the Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, the Supremes, the Temptations, and a few others. There isn't an overabundance of favorites here. Though all of these songs were hits in their day, only a few were some of Motown's bigger successes. You really can't go wrong with any of the volumes in this series, even if some are a little more thin than others -- they're all filled to the brim with great songs. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
