    Maximos del Tango 2002 is a collection of traditional tango favorites combined onto one album. This is a genre with a surprising amount of room for creativity, and the 14 songs here make for a good introduction to the different kinds of tango. The most recognizable track here will probably be "Abrojito," which has been used many times in everything from films to commercials. But other tracks are just as good, if not better, and each song is just different enough from the last to prevent the tracks from blending together. Tango music may not be a huge genre, but anyone curious about the variety found in that brand of music could do a lot worse than starting here. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide
