    From the world of black metal and death metal comes No Fashion Classics, a brutal compilation of underground metal. With bands like Katatonia and Lord Belial, the expected pounding drums and chainsaw guitars are present, as well as the acid-throated vocals that the genre is known for. Although a few songs show the growth into gothic metal that some of these bands have taken, for the most part this is a brutal and angry album that will probably not translate well to anyone not familiar with the genre. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide
