    A fairly large band, in the pop sense, playing modern Malagasy music - that is, traditional melodies and rhythms updated by new instruments and techniques, much as is happening all over Africa. In fact, this does sound very East African, with the rippling drum beats and enticing textures; the bell-tone guitars wading through the sweet chorus, dancing around a solo trumpet and between the percussive tinkling of the valiha, which I think I like a lot more in an ensemble than solo . ~ Carl Hoyt, All Music Guide
