Alternately lively and leaden blues-hued funk-rock from the Mob on this outing. There are some nice cuts, including the opening "Ramblin'," the raucous "Mt. Everest", the funk-stomp of "Pretty Good Life" and the closing "Drunkard's Nose", but there's also too much weak stuff on the order of the sludgy "Woodsnake" and the badly misfired "Timebomb" in which interesting instrumental sounds conflict with a too-slow pace, a mushy mix and disinterested vocals. Should have been lots better, judging from the good stuff. ~ Steven McDonald, All Music Guide
