Argentinean threesome Sosa Stereo receives a deserved tribute by rock en español numbers around Latin America who have been influenced by one of the most popular South American rock bands ever. The disc starts with an alternative metal version of "Vitaminas" by Genitallica, then goes into a mid-tempo "Un Millón de Años Luz" performed by Mexican Jumbo, and the disc gets its electronica side from Moenia on "Zoom." Chilean Lucybell delivers a techno-pop version of "Juego de Seduccion," while Colombian band Aterciopelados join in covering "Te Para Tres" and Julieta Venegas emerges with a seductive "Disco Eterno." In addition, Tributo a Soda Stereo features performances by Control Machete, Los Caballeros de la Quema, Gandhi, and the female Latin rock group Atomica. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
