A collection of tracks, both from the film's score or from the official soundtrack, from some of the more popular Italian movies to come out in the late 20th century (L'Ultimo Bacio, La Stanza del Figlio, La Vita è Bella, and Malena, for example). It's a bit debatable f it really does contain, as it claims, "the world's most beautiful" songs, but there are some good tracks here, like Carmen Consoli's "L'Ultimo Bacio" or Ennio Morricone's -- who also has three other pieces included -- "Infanzia e Maturità," soft and reflective and perfect for those more poignant scenes, where affecting a certain melancholic, emotional mood is key. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide
