In apparently a combined effort by BMG Special and Emusic to draw and quarter the first three years of They Might Be Giants' career, Giants Jubilee is a hodgepodge of B-sides and bonus tracks, all drawn (in scant proportions) from disc one of the superb anthology Then: The Earlier Years. Any established fan of the band already possesses either Miscellaneous T, the 1991 B-sides collection, or Then. So where's the appeal to Giants Jubilee or its companion volume, Mightathon? Emusic is hoping that answer will be the handy, easy-to-download mp3 format that fits snuggly onto the listener's hard drive. But such a scant offering of content plus no extras like photos or liner notes equals one bad deal for fans.
