Before Greg Godovitz formed Goddo, he was a member of Canadian pop outfit Fludd with childhood friends Ed Pilling and Brian Pilling. Brian Pilling died of leukemia on June 28, 1978, at the age of 29. Nearly two years later to the day, Godovitz enlisted his band, producer Bob Segarini, and several Toronto musicians to produce this two-song benefit single. The title cut is a Beatlesque pop ballad co-written by Pilling and Godovitz, who is reduced to tears by the end of the song. The B-side is the more upbeat "Homemade Lady," a reworking of a Chuck Berry-ish Fludd rocker. Proceeds from the single were earmarked for a trust fund for Pilling's children. ~ Darryl Sterdan, All Music Guide
