    All Music Guide Review

    A massive three-CD set with some of El General's best-known work. The Panamanian rapper's unique mix of hip-hop, dancehall, and just about every popular Latin dance style has always been infectious, but has rarely sustained an entire album of material. Mega Coleccion manages to cull many of his hits from more recent dancefloor fillers like "Pata Pata" all the way back to "Caramelo," with a few essential remixes thrown in for good measure. With the exception of "Tu Pum Pum," which has eluded every collection thus far, this is the definitive El General collection. ~ Wade Kergan, All Music Guide
