    If the marriage of soul and country sends you, then Mood, Heart and Soull will take you there in style. Joe Simon's aching rendition of Gladys Knight & the Pips' "Neither One of Us" cuts painfully to the bone. The soul runs deep on "Walking Down Lonely Street" and "I'm in the Mood for You," while "I'm Still There" and others have a strong country flavor. The lilting hooks on "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues" and "Covering the Same Old Ground" are as infectious as Simon's drawl. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
