    Merengue Fiesta gathers songs from some of the style's biggest artists, including Elvis Crespo's "Suavamente," La Makina's "Nadie Se Muere," Kinito Mendez's "Cachamba," and Milly Quezada's "Pídeme." While most of the collection features the lively, intricate rhythms and melodies usually associated with merengue, the album does feature a couple of slower songs, like Gisselle's "Júrame," for diversity's sake. Tracks by Olga Tañón, Grupo Mania, Los Toros Band, Wilfrido Vargas, and Banda del Swing round out the collection, making it a festive and relatively eclectic sampling of the sounds and musicians that make up contemporary merengue. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
