Eclecticism without some guidelines seldom serves an artist, particularly one trying to build a profile. That's not an argument for restrictiveness or stereotyping, but a statement to explain why Judson Spence, despite having a good voice and some potential, didn't click on this album. By bouncing all around between ballads, uptempo numbers, urban contemporary, dance-pop, and even light R&B, there was never any personality presented, nor did anyone get an idea of his strengths. All you got was someone plugging into the trend of the moment. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
