Doo Wop 45s on CD, Vol. 1 is a single disc containing 25 tracks that dig a little deeper into the genre and haven't been burned out from years of over-exposure. While a few well-known chart-toppers are included ("In the Still of the Night," "One Summer Night," and "Get a Job"), it's a treat to have access to songs by the Danleers, the Nutmegs, the Kodaks, and the Versatones that received regional attention but never achieved the national success initially hoped for.
