All Music Guide Review

As the title suggests, the Brothers Creeggan render a relaxed meld of country, folk, and roots music on their fourth album. Siblings Andy and Jim, the latter best known as the bassist in Barenaked Ladies, harmonize on cuts that celebrate life, love, and yearning with melancholy and wisdom. Opening with a soulful farewell, "You Will Be Adored," the duo set an intimate temper for this disc that never lets up. Guest vocalist Sarah Harmer adds sex appeal to "Anna on the Moon," a tender dialogue that details the perils of roaming romantics, as does "Vote for Beauty." Other tracks, including "Sometimes," "Long and Slow," "Bye and Slow," and "Grey," delve into the mystical with jazzy arrangements and ethereal mood swings. With "one eye on the waking world/and one eye on the world of dreams," the Brothers Creeggan have slipped a contemplative masterpiece into our midst. ~ Tom Semioli, Rovi
