    This three-CD set is devoted to the bass-heavy sounds of garage and jungle/drum'n'bass. The first disc focuses on garage sounds and features top names like So Solid Crew. Disc two has newer jungle artists like London Elektricity and Shimon, while disc three has some classic jungle tracks like "Horizons" by LTJ Bukem, "The Stepper" by Foul Play, and "Renegade Snares (Foul Play VIP Mix)" by Omni Trio. It makes for a good history of the early days of jungle and still sounds fresh and somewhat otherworldly today. This set is a solid purchase for fans of both genres. ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
