With "Alternative Ulster" and "Suspect Device" leading the way, Inflammable Material is a compelling, raging record that derives most of its style from the Sex Pistols and simply cranks up the personal political issues a notch or two. There is a so-so version of Bob Marley's "Johnny Was" (call it the obligatory reggae cover), but that doesn't hamper the enjoyment, nor does it detract from the record's overwhelming power. ~ John Dougan, All Music Guide
