All Music Guide Review
Trustkill Records was one of the most prominent independent hardcore/metal labels in 2002, and The Future.of.Music is a compilation that serves well as an introductory course on what the label is all about. As with any compilation, this album has its hits and misses, yet even at its most mediocre it contains an energy missing from many major-label compilations released in the previous five years. Highlights of this solid disc include Poison the Well's metalcore monster "Nerdy" and the relentless beast of sound Most Precious Blood unleashes on "Apparition." The Future.of.Music serves its purpose in shedding some light on the Trustkill roster and is worth adding to your collection if you are into the heavier genres of music. ~ Jason D.
