Ween EPs are a crapshoot -- given the staggering number of songs the duo's produced across the years, there's bound to be as many rare gems as clunkers, and although the four-song Voodoo Lady is at best a marginal entry into the canon, its two otherwise unavailable cuts make it necessary for the faithful regardless. Both the title cut and "Buenas Tardes, Amigo" appear on the full-length masterpiece Chocolate & Cheese, rendering their inclusion here moot; of the B-sides, "There's a Pig" is an electro-country tale of a fugitive on the run -- essentially a truck-drivin' riff on Body Count's "Cop Killer" -- while the longtime live staple "Vallejo" is a clear sibling to "Buenas Tardes, Amigo," a bolero-styled rave-up which may or may not be about the fantasy illustrator Boris Vallejo. Neither one's a classic, but what else are you gonna do with your money -- donate it to the poor? ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
