Rock All Night: The Best of 80s Metal is just weird enough to warrant a well-earned dollar or two if it lands in the discount bin. Obvious hair metal standards like "Lay It Down" by Ratt, Dio's "Rainbow in the Dark" and "Seventeen" from Winger keep things familiar, but the inclusion of tracks from D'Molls, Honeymoon Suite and Zebra help to make this compilation stand out (not really in a good way) from similar mixes. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
