    All Music Guide Review

Keith Fulleron Whitman skips bail from his stunningly titled Reckankreuzungklankewekzeuge imprint for a new home with Mike Paradinas off-world retreat. This debut for the label collates work recorded in the main from 1999-2002, stepping off with his psychotic take on Kid 606's "Vatstep DSP" before treading slightly less crazed boards. Percussion is the key throughout, in fact pretty much the sole element of tracks like "EWC3" and "Re: When Was the Last Time You Were Violent." The writhing cod junglism becomes less and less surprising as each track makes its inevitable octave slipping snare slide down into detailed but ultimately well-worn programming, and it is when Whitman is emotive that his true power really lies -- the rich layers of his "Paint It Black" and later in "Gemini" and the accompanying "Anaesthetise Thineself," moments of considerable beauty among the chaos that prove considerable range beyond the well-worn breakcore. ~ Kingsley Marshall, All Music Guide
