    All Music Guide Review

    Most of the 16 selections on this Claude Thornhill CD are quite memorable but the lack of recording dates and a personnel listing are inexcusable. The programming, which skips around between the 1941-42 and 1946-47 Thornhill Orchestras rather than proceeding chronologically, is also rather random. Still, with so few of Thornhill's recordings on CD, this disc is worth picking up. Highlights include "Snowfall," "Sunday Kind of Love," "There's a Small Hotel," "Anthropology" and "Buster's Last Stand." ~ Scott Yanow, All Music Guide
