TKA

At the dawn of the 1990s, the Latin freestyle sound that TKA had helped to define and popularize four years earlier was still popular in dance music circles and in Hispanic communities in the U.S. With most of the big names in freestyle being female (everyone from Expose to the Cover Girls to Sa-Fire), TKA continued to be one of the form's top male acts. Louder Than Love, which isn't as strong as previous TKA albums but has its moments, found the Puerto Rican group continuing to embrace freestyle as well as explore other types of dance music. While cuts like "The Way It Used To Be" and the club hit "You Are the One" are very much in the freestyle vein, "Crash (Have Some Fun)" is a catchy dance/rap ditty along the lines of C&C Music Factory and Snap. Some of the tunes are mediocre and unimpressive, but the more noteworthy ones showed that TKA could still be fresh-sounding. ~ Alex Henderson, All Music Guide
