    A consistently melodic pop-rock trio consisting of sisters Diana, Sylvia and Vicky Villegas, the Triplets showed some potential on Thicker Than Water. Many of the slick, highly commercial songs on this CD wouldn't have been out of place on an album by Belinda Carlisle (or in some cases, Patty Smyth of Scandal fame), but what sets the Triplets apart from other female pop-rockers of the early 1990s are the Spanish and Latin touches the trio brings to catchy selections like "Spanish Surrender" and "Dancing In the Shadows." This is definitely corporate rock, although it has a certain thoughtfulness that keeps it from sounding like the product of a musical assembly line. Not fantastic but decent and enjoyable on the whole, Thicker Than Water should have done better. But unfortunately, the pop-rock market paid little attention to the talented siblings. ~ Alex Henderson, All Music Guide
