Only "Too Shy" stands out amidst the slick, bouncy new wave synth-pop that dominates the compilation, which covers material from all of the band's albums, as well as lead singer Limahl's solo career. Most of the music on the rest of the collection is pleasant, but none of it is memorable. However, "Too Shy" is one of the best pop singles of the new wave era, driven by layers of bubbly synths, an inanely catchy chorus and Limahl's thin, airy vocals. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
