    All Music Guide Review

The only commercially available release from the Residents' fan club label UWEB. This offered the casual listener a chance to sample some of the goodies released on the first four UWEB releases, but throws in enough rare stuff to require those already in the fan club to purchase it as well (sheer marketing savvy). But it's worth owning: their cover of "Teddy Bear" from NBC's short lived Night Music show blows the studio version away with heart-rending shrieks and rasps (the S & M visuals are missing, however). The 13th Anniversary Show outtakes ("Die in Terror" and "This Is a Man's World") are also shining examples of how sparse and striking the group's music has become from their confrontational origins, as heard on "Something Devilish" from 1971. A fairly decent sampler of some hard to find Residentia. ~ Ted Mills, All Music Guide
