    All Music Guide Review

A sensual and humorous chamber work based on the texts "Seeing You Again Makes Me Wanna Wash the Dishes," "On Being Irresponsible About Lovers and Those Who Swoop on You," and "The Swooper and the Swoopee." LeBaron is an accomplished composer with chamber music recorded on the Mode label, and the German Ear-Rational label features her jazz group the Anne LeBaron Quintet With the Phantom Orchestra. The voice in "Dish," especially at the beginning of the piece, is amplified and echoed to create tactile effects. See also LeBaron's "Blue Harp Study 1" and "Blue Harp Study 2" in the collection Jewel Box. Listeners may also enjoy checking out her new album with several ensemble works on MODE records (1993). ~ "Blue" Gene Tyranny, All Music Guide
