Lyrics from Frat Rock: The '70s

    All Music Guide Review

Rhino compiles the soundtrack to the keg tossing, dubious mating rituals, and askew musical tastes endemic to fraternity row. Strictly the most overheated anthems here, all but stripped of their original appeal thanks to too many turns in heavy rotation. But the fun is still to be had by those new to the terrain or in need of a virtual audio tour of those binge days of old. With Alice Cooper and Brownsville Station airing the slightly subversive end of the quotient, megaliths like Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Grand Funk Railroad, Boston, and Foreigner come with the grade-A rock lather. Try not to get any mustard on that toga. ~ Stephen Cook, All Music Guide
