Cross My Heart, the 1994 debut release from singer/songwriter Greg Long, blends CCM and adult contemporary sounds to create an album that is upbeat, yet also intense and message-oriented. The project serves as a forerunner for Long's following releases, reflecting a signature sound that is also seen on his sophomore album Days of Grace and its follow-up, Jesus Saves. Songs include a duet with Margaret Becker and the stirring melody "Friend to You." ~ Ashleigh Kittle, All Music Guide
