Maiden Australia is a scatter-shot collection that sought to expose new wave artists from Australia and New Zealand -- including Split Enz, Mental as Anything, Jo Jo Zep, and Hunters and Collectors -- to the U.S. market. While it is somewhat inconsistent and the track selection is questionable, it does serve as an adequate introduction to some of the more mainstream Aussie bands from the time. It is most notable for its inclusion of the Split Enz rarity, "Next Exit," previously unreleased in the U.S. ~ Chris Woodstra, All Music Guide
