    All Music Guide Review

    The Chartbusters, Volume I compilation spotlights the artists of Beserkley, an early independent label. The standout cuts belong to Jonathan Richman, who contributes stripped-down versions of "Road Runner" and "Government Center" (both recorded earlier with the original Modern Lovers) along with "The New Teller" and a cover of the Showmen's 1961 classic, "It Will Stand."
