    Sony's budget-priced Wave Goodbye to the 80's compilation features more than its fair share of surprises. Unlike most collections from the era, the radio hits are few and far between. Aside from standards like "Under the Milky Way" from Aussie legends the Church and (maybe) "Dr. Heckyll & Mr. Jive" by Men at Work, this little anthology of '80s excess plays up the underground with cuts from Freur ("Doot-Doot"), I Am Siam ("Talk to Me [I Can Hear You Now]"), After the Fire ("Dancing in the Shadows"), and Gary Myrick & the Figures ("She Talks in Stereo"). ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
