A seeming repository for a number of Bambaataa's hit singles of the late '80s/early '90s, this album from Time Zone (one of the groups within the Zulu Nation collective) covers a bit of dancehall reggae, a bit of soul, and a whole pile of hip-hop. Singles represented therein include "Funky Beeper," a remix of "Unity" (with James Brown), "Throw Ya Fuckin' Hands Up," and "Zulu War Chant." Relatively apocalyptic in many respects lyrically, the album still isn't all that horrible in most respects. For fans of Bambaataa's music, it isn't too bad of an addition to the collection. Non-fans should look elsewhere. ~ Adam Greenberg, All Music Guide
