The Gospel Songbird, Dottie Peoples, delivers just what this project's title depicts: hot, slamming, Sunday morning-styled gospel music. This set, which was recorded live at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church just outside of Atlanta, GA, finds Peoples capably backed by the New Creation, the New Birth Missionary Mass Choir, and Peoples' own aggregation, the Peoples Choice Chorale. Noted pastors Bishop Eddie Long and Rev. Jasper Williams Jr. join Peoples on the tracks "I Believe in Christ" and "Get Right Church," respectively. For her contemporary music followers, Peoples offers the upbeat "It's Gonna Be Alright," which was penned by Byron Cage, who is also featured on the track. Another Dottie Peoples classic. ~ Tim Smith, All Music Guide
