It's almost comical how at least 70-percent of this sampler sounds the same. Seriously, if Strife, Snapcase, Integrity, and Earth Crisis all covered each others' songs, it would be very hard for a non-Victory follower to tell the difference. As for all those here who aren't a three-chord metal band: Cause for Alarm and Warzone bring out that street smart hardcore sensibility --blatant New York accents give away what scene they're part of. Bloodlet and Deadguy could provide the perfect soundtrack for any graphic slasher film, while One Life Crew should spend more time trying to lose weight than writing homophobic, racist garbage. Overall, Victory Style isn't really all that bad considering the fact that there's not one ounce of new or unreleased material on here, but then again, what would one expect from a label sampler? ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
