    The Sting Rays have only one side of this album; the other presents a live tape of similar fidelity by another Long Island garage band of the time, the Outcasts (the groups were led by brothers from the same family). At any rate, the Sting Rays' half is acceptable if naive British Invasion-influenced garage-pop, with all but one of the songs composed by leader, singer, and lead guitarist Jack Foley. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
